2014 के चुनाव में सबसे बड़ा मुद्दा था कि अगर हमारी सरकार आयेगी तो मंहगाई कम करेगी जिसके कारण जनता ने कांग्रेस से परेशान होकर भाजपा को वोट दिया, लेकिन महंगाई तो कम नहीं हुई ऊपर नोटबंदी करके जनता को परेशान किया गया जिसके कारण जनता का रोष झेलना पड़ा ।
पेट्रोल, डीज़ल, गैस आदि बहुत महंगे हुए जिससे आम जनता की कमर टूट गई ।
भाजपा ने दावा किया था कि हमारी सरकार बहुमत से आएगी तो अयोध्या में भव्य श्री राम मंदिर बनायेगें, लेकिन सत्ता में आते ही श्री राम मन्दिर बनाना तो दूर किसी सभा में उसका नाम तक नहीं लिया और न ही अयोध्या में दर्शन करने गये जिसकी वजह से करोड़ों श्री राम भक्तों में काफी रोष व्याप्त था ।
राहुल गांधी मंदिरों में जा रहे थे जबकि नरेंद्र मोदी मस्जिदों में जा रहे थे ।
मोदी जी ने कहा था कि यदि हमारी सरकार आएगी तो बीफ की बिक्री पर बैन लगेगी और गौहत्या पर पूर्णतः रोक, लेकिन उन्होंने गौरक्षकों को ही गुंडा कह दिया जिसके कारण गौभक्तों में काफी रोष था ।
भारत के सबसे बड़े हिन्दू धर्मगुरु संत आसाराम बापू को 2013 में तत्कालीन सरकार ने जेल भिजवाया था जिसके कारण उनके करोड़ों भक्तों में काफी रोष व्याप्त था और 2014 में कड़ी मेहनत करके भाजपा को जिताया उन्हें आस थी कि हिंदूवादी पार्टी आएगी तो हमारे गुरुजी के साथ हुए अन्याय को खत्म कर उन्हें बाहर लाएगी किन्तु हुआ इसके ठीक विपरीत, भाजपा की सरकार के कार्यकाल में उन्हें झूठे आरोप में उम्रकैद हो गई और जमानत तक का विरोध किया गया जिसके कारण भक्तों में काफी रोष था ।
ठीक उसी प्रकार फलाहारी बाबा के भी लाखों भक्तों में ऐसे ही रोष उत्पन्न हो गया था ।
कश्मीर के लाखों पंडितों को जिहादियों ने कश्मीर से भगा दिया था जिसके कारण आज वे देश मे दर दर की ठोकर खा रहे हैं और धारा 370 के कारण देश का कोई व्यक्ति वहाँ जमीन नहीं खरीद सकता और भी कई मुश्किलें धारा 370 के कारण खड़ी हुई हैं, जिसके कारण देशवासियों को उम्मीद थी कि भाजपा के आने से 370 हट जाएगी , पर नहीं हटी तो आज नतीजा सबके सामने है ।
वीरांगना पद्मावती के नाम से एक फ़िल्म बनाई थी जिसमे क्रूर, बलात्कारी खिलजी का महिमा मंडन किया था और पद्मावती का सम्मान नहीं किया गया था इस फ़िल्म को बंद करवाने के लिए देशभर में आक्रोश हुआ था जिसका बीड़ा करणी सेना ने उठाया था पर सरकार ने इसपर ध्यान नहीं दिया जोकि जनता में रोष का कारण बन गया ।
SC/ST एक्ट के कारण काफी निर्दोष लोगों को फंसाया जा रहा था, जिसके कारण सुप्रीम ने बताया था कि तुरंत गिरफ्तारी न हो बड़े अधिकारी जांच करें फिर ही गिरफ्तारी हो लेकिन मोदी सरकार ने अध्यादेश लाकर तुरंत गिरफ्तारी को यथावत रखा जिसके कारण सवर्णों का रोष प्रकट हुआ ।
हिन्दू बाहुल्य देश में मुस्लिम लड़कियों की शादी में 51000 देना और हिन्दुओ को आवश्यकता होने पर भी न देना, इस प्रकार की तुष्टिकरण वाली योजनाओं से हिन्दू काफी आहत हुए ।
किसानों को उचित दाम देने और कर्ज माफी और खाद्य, कीटनाशक दवाइयां सस्ती देने के वादे किए थे पर वे पूरे न कर पाने के कारण किसान आत्महत्या करने को मजबूर हुए जिसके कारण किसानों का भी कोप सहन करना पड़ा ।
देश मे ईसाई मिशनरियां इतनी सक्रिय है कि हिंदुओं को लालच देकर या बलपूर्वक तेजी से ईसाई बना रहे हैं, अभी हाल ही में 3 लाख हिन्दू राजस्थान में ईसाई बनाये गए और मुंबई में 2 लाख, ऐसे तो देशभर में अनेक जगह लाखों हिदुओं को ईसाई बनाया जा रहा है जो देश के लिए चिंता जनक है जिसपर रोक नही लगाई इसके कारण भी हिंदुओं में गुस्सा था ।
देश मे तुरंत GST लगाने पर छोटे उद्योगों पर काफी असर पड़ा जिसके कारण कई लोगों के रोजगार चले गए इसकी वजह से भी कुछ लोगो मे नाराजगी थी ।
मोदी जी ने चुनाव से पहले कहा था कि सभी भ्रष्टाचारियों को जेल भेजेंगे लेकिन भ्रष्टाचारी को जेल नहीं भेजा और छोटे-मोटे चोरी वाले मुजरिम सालों से जेल में सड़ रहे हैं, इसके कारण भी जनता में रोष था ।
